Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for members of their designated service line including Registered Nurses, First Assistants, Surgical Technologists, and Second Assistants.
  • Responsible for delivery of perioperative nursing care to surgical patients.
  • Maintain aseptic and safe environment in the operating room.
  • Performs circulator, scrub and first assistant roles as competent.
  • Provides direction and acts as resource to members of the specialty team to ensure comprehensive and safe patient care.
  • Maintains full accountability to ensure that supplies and equipment are available to perform cases within their assigned specialty.
  • Promotes customer service initiatives.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served.
  • Requires interpersonal skills to successfully interact with patients and their families, physicians, peers, and any other personnel required for patient care.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing
  • Current state RN licensure
  • Current BLS
  • CNOR preferred
  • Must be experienced OR RN. CVOR experience preferred. 
ARMY MOS – 66W or 66N
Air Force AFSC – 46NX and 46SX
