During your track selection you will select from 25 different tracks for your 1st ,2nd, 3rd, and 4th choice options.Step 2: Your application will then be reviewed and forwarded to our Panel Team for viewing your Pre-Recorded Interview Video.
Step 3: Hiring Department Conversation.
The Nurse Residency Program is a one year program designed for nursing graduates or nurses (RN) with less than six months (at the time of application) of nursing experience.
Upon graduation and obtaining a degree in Nursing from an NLN or CCNE state-approved program the Graduate Nurse will enter the VUMC Nurse Residency Program (NRP).
The Nurse Resident will participate in the implementation of patient care under the supervision of a licensed Registered Nurse.Nurse residents are required to be licensed prior to their start date.
Residents that can provide official documentation of successful NCLEX results and pending application for TN RN licensure (or a state that is part of the enhanced nurse licensure compact) will be considered eligible to start.
Candidates will be required to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing to be eligible to apply.
ASN degree is considered for our current employees employed for one year in at least part time hours.
Full-time hours 36-40 hours per week is required during the first year of the Nurse Residency Program.This position requires Graduation from an accredited nursing programRequired:Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationAdditional Information: Background checks will be performed and must be approved prior to employment.
