INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST: DETAILS
Title: Inventory Control Specialist
Location: Madison TN
Start Date: ASAP
Pay Rate: $17-18 /hour
Hours: 10am-7pm | Monday – Friday
Type: Contract to Hire
Openings: 1

REQUIREMENTS: INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST
* Able to work standard business hours and some flex hours from (10am-7pm)
* Meet productivity goals
* Plan and organize individual and team work to meet changing priorities and deadlines.
* Effectively perform multiple, concurrent tasks with constant interruptions.
* Read, write, and perform calculations at the level required for successful job performance.
* Type and enter electronic data at a speed necessary for successful job performance.
* Operate a computer terminal proficiently and maintain computerized records.
* Understand procedures and functions quickly and apply them without immediate supervision.
* Work independently in the absence of supervision.
* Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties.

RESPONSIBILITIES: INVENTORY CONTROL SPECIALIST
* Design and implement an inventory tracking system to optimize inventory control procedures.
* Establish procedures for placement and appropriate handling of inventory; maintain/optimize bin, shelf and location layout schemes.
* Minimize inventory loss by incorporating best supply chain practices.
* Perform daily inventory analysis to identify/resolve discrepancies and problems.
* Prepare detailed reports on inventory operations, stock levels and adjustments.
* Establish, review, and maintain critical and reorder quantities of inventory items.
* Make recommendations to leadership about improvements in inventory life cycle.
* Receive and reconcile incoming shipments; assure proper replenishment in computerized inventory system to reflect accurately on-hand items.
* Organize departmental cycle counts to assure the continuous accuracy of the system.
* Identify, investigate, and resolve any inventory discrepancies.
* Analyze existing and potential suppliers/vendors to obtain quality, best price and timely deliveries.
* Assist with the training of operations and warehouse staff regarding new products, changes or discontinuation of products.
* Assist warehouse operations during emergencies or in times of staffing shortage.
