The QA Department focuses on testing, calibrating, troubleshooting and debugging all software products and all QA team members play an important part in the product development process. The performance testing lead, in addition to performance testing will conduct manual and automated quality assurance tests before product launches to ensure software is effective and meets or exceeds all client requirements. This QA professional will evaluate and test SaaS-based applications that support various state agencies and functions. A specific function of this role will be to own, operate and manage the performance testing tool suite (Akamai CloudTest) This role requires an experienced QA professional who has strong communication skills, an extensive knowledge of performance testing tools and processes, Jira, deep experience in Agile scrum methodologies, effective analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize. Some of the specific duties of the role are as follows Collaborate with development team and business analysts to define and implement performance test scenarios that align to real-world usage patterns. Review user requirements documents to ensure that requirements are testable. Create, Debug and Execute performance test scripts and scenarios using Akamai CloudTest. Collaborate with development and technology team members to analyze performance test results, implement, and validate performance enhancements. In addition to performance testing, the successful candidate will be able to develop and execute manual test cases in JIRA (Zephyr for Jira). Identify, document, troubleshoot for root caused potential impact. Track and report on bugsdefects from identification to resolution. Executes regression testing as required. Participate in as well as lead defect triage meetings (internal and client facing) Prepares testing metrics utilizing JIRA reporting functions Supports client resources in their testing efforts Required skillset Seasoned testing skills developed from experience with multiple software companies. Strong communication skills. Demonstrated experience testing complex B2C and B2B SaaS applications. Experience as an active participant in scrum ceremonies (grooming, planning, stand-ups, retrospectives). An ability to develop test cases based on loosely defined product requirements. Strong experience with Akamai CloudTest or similar performance testing tool (NeoLoad, LoadRunner, etc.) Automated test development using Selenium WebDriver with C is a plus. Salesforce knowledge is a plus. Knowledge of state agency licensing and permitting process is a plus.
