What you get to do every day
– Take part in the preparation of exhibit binders for depositions, hearings and trials
– Assemble a variety of documents and correspondence
– Ensure documents have copies in hard form as well as within the electronic document system
– Manage the case calendar and keep an eye on deadlines
– Collaborate with attorneys on client intake and key discovery
– Prepare court filings, sometimes filing them electronically
– Consistently uphold standards of confidentiality
– Answer incoming phone calls and assist with handling phone lines when at high volume
– Prepare correspondence and pleadings, plan out service on parties
Job Requirements:
– Eagerness to learn quickly
– Self-starter and strong ethical standards
– Expert-level skills in Internet research, calendaring, word processing and spreadsheets
– Incoming phone call management skills required
– Demeanor to thrive in a high-paced environment, requiring exceptional organizational skills, juggling priorities, and adhering to strict deadlines
– Strong attention to detail
– Strong communication skills and able to receive criticism well
– Comprehensive knowledge of electronic billing
– Proficiency in legal research
– Expertise in Contract Management
– Foundational knowledge in Department Mail
– Corporate experience
– Previous legal work experience and a dedication to integrity
