VP, Human Resources

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for defining, developing, and delivering people program in support of the organizations mission, changing demographics and employee needs.

The Vice President of Human Resources (AMSURG) works closely with members of the senior management team to provide strategic leadership and guidance to teams on the implementation of programs to maximize the value and return on programs to develop, grow and maintain knowledge capital.

The position oversees and directly manages the delivery of HR solutions to the business, including: human capital strategy, culture design and change management, team effectiveness, workforce planning, succession management, learning strategy, diversity and inclusion, employee wellness, employee relations and labor relations.

This position, as a member of the People and Culture leadership team is responsible for organizational development, policies and programs covering employment, compensation, benefits, talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, recruiting and retention, and compliance with all applicable federal, state and local laws.

This position is responsible for building an effective team of HR professionals at AMSURG.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate as a member of the People and Culture leadership team responsible for delivering the full suite of HR policies and practices to the enterprise.

Participate as a member of the AMSURGE leadership team responsible for the providing strategic leadership and guidance to teams on the implementation of strategy, business initiatives, organizational and culture changes for leadership alignment, change leadership, stakeholder and employee engagement, large scale program design, organization performance and communications.

Select, develop, evaluate, and lead a team of human resource professionals with a goal of earning a high level of credibility as an effective and responsive internal consulting group Proactively review data to assess trends in teammate terminations, promotions and compensation, and support center level staff with these same functions and communicate action plans from these trends .

Understand and identify the human capital implications of regional/functional strategies; leads the collaborative development of the annual people strategy.

Partner with senior leaders to execute business strategies, improve operations and performance, and optimize roles and responsibilities.

Responsible for advising management on changes in human resource and employment law and manage company relationships with federal, state and local regulatory agencies, such as State Department of Employment Security.

Develops a high performing, accountable HR team by fostering a diverse workplace that enables individuals with different perspectives to contribute to their full potential.

Demonstrated program and project management experience.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s degree from and accredited college or university with a minimum of ten (10) years of broad experience in human resources management or a related field is required.

Master’s degree in Human Resource Administration or related field and/or professional certification by the Society for Human Resources Management preferred.

Experience within healthcare industry preferred.
