TITLE: Adjunct Instructor
– Surgical Technology/CSPT (Pool)POSITION SUMMARY:This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/TYPICAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPrepares for and teaches assigned classes, laboratories, and/or clinical instruction according to the standards of the HCPR Division, program accrediting/licensure bodies, clinical agency, NSCC, and TBR.Prepares for course, laboratory, and/or clinical instruction.Provides feedback to students within a reasonable time frame.Assists with orientation to clinical sites as needed.Participates in the development, review/audit, evaluation, revision, and accreditation of courses, programs, and curricula.Assists in selection of program equipment.Performs record-keeping responsibilities related to teaching and clinical instruction.Works with program, semester and/or course coordinators to facilitate communication with clinical sites and coordinate clinical schedules.Attends division, program, semester and/or course meetings as assigned to support goals, mission, and objectives of the program, HCPR division, and NSCC.Performs related duties as assigned.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSAssociate’s degree and Certification by IAHCSMM or by Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution(CSPT) OR Associate’s degree and appropriate healthcare certification or licensure OR Bachelor’s degree and CST certification by The National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical AssistingEvidence of licensure/certification.Evidence of clinical expertise in related field.Dedication to academic practices and student success.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSCollegiate level teaching experience.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes.Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.PAY RATEAssociates + Certification: $27.50 hourly rateBachelors + Certification: $29.50 hourly rateMaster’s + Certification: $31.50 hourly rateDoctorate + Certification: $33.50 hourly rateAVAILABILITY/CLOSING DATEThis posting is not a guarantee of an open position.
