Sales Account Associate
The Sales Account Associate position will be responsible for North America sponsorship sales for all virtual and in-person events, publications, and digital inventory for a client organization.
As a member of the organization’s sales team, this role requires the ability to think strategically and work collaboratively in a team.
The primary responsibilities include calling current customers and potential leads, managing sales opportunities, building relationships and achieving sales targets.
Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Execute annual strategies to acquire, onboard and maintain relationships with association sponsors Manage the sales process Ability to negotiate sponsorship sales on a local and national level to various levels in the sponsors organization Maintain and achieve annual sales goals and budgets Participate in team meetings to provide update on sales progress New inventory development support Weekly forecasting sessions to provide insight into the current state of pipeline, risk areas and growth areas Manage all opportunities within Salesforce Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs Ability to prepare and deliver presentations on products and services
Qualifications
Commitment to organization’s mission and passionate about driving innovation and community engagement Association management experience preferred Interest in Technology sales and/or technology industry experience preferred Corporate sponsorship sales preferred Demonstrated strengths in relationship building and sales acumen A self-starter who can work independently, prioritize and handle multiple time-sensitive tasks in a fast-paced environment Excellent attention to detail and project management skills Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstration of strong interpersonal skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office; strong working knowledge of CRM databases or ability to adapt to new software platforms
