Summary:
The Patient Experience Coordinator is responsible for ensuring an excellent patient experience from check-in to check-out and timely/accurate filing/collections of patient dues.
Responsibilities: Specific Responsibilities of the Patient Experience Coordinator include:
Patient Experience
- Provides Front Desk customer service and technical support to patients for health related administrative needs; appointment scheduling, registration, messages to providers, etc.
- Stays abreast of current Front Desk policy and follows up appropriately and professionally with patients as needed.
- Assists as appropriate with maintaining a steady patient flow to ensure appointments and walk ins are seen in a timely manner.
- Works to handle general administrative
Revenue Management
- Verifies insurance on the date of service.
- Runs eligibility estimates before patients leave the clinic.
- Collects on all patient dues: overdue balances, patient estimates, and copays.
- Maintains general working knowledge of billing and insurance. Assists patients with said questions as needed.
Requirements for the Patient Experience Coordinator:
Education:
- GED or High School Diploma Required
- CPC or CPC-A preferred
Experience:
- 1-year medical office experience required.
- Strong Computer and Electronic Health Record (EHR) skills required.
- Knowledge about health insurance required.
- Prior Customer Service Experience preferred.
Skills:
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented, especially pertaining to patient information/need.
- Ability to stay calm and deescalate upset patients.

Our offices are open 7 days per week.
For our Charlotte Pike Office, the shift hours are 8:30 AM-7:00 PM.
For our Church Street Office, the shift hours are 7:30 AM-6:00 PM.
Specific days worked are negotiable.
