SHR Talent is partnering with a retail client in Nashville, TN in its search for a Senior Financial Analyst. The Senior Financial Analyst role is a contract position, consisting of a hybrid work schedule. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you will partner with operational heads to present and explain the financial implications of operational results.
An ideal candidate for the Senior Financial Analyst role is someone who can interpret financial data versus reporting it. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you should possess the ability to effectively communicate key information pertaining to the actuals and forecasts to management, be able to demonstrate proficiency across multiple accounting software tools, and be able to learn new software platforms quickly. The Senior Financial Analyst should be detail-oriented with an ability to think analytically and creatively, able to work with various levels of management throughout the organization, and posses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting
• 4+ years’ experience in financial modeling and reporting, preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office disciplines, such as Access, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Proficiency in business intelligence tools, particularly Peoplesoft
• Strategic or Mergers and Acquisitions experience is a plus
Job Requirements:
• Analyze and interpret financial data
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and monthly reporting processes
• Conduct trend analysis and leverage insights
• Produce monthly actuals-to-forecast variance analysis
• Help prepare management decks
• Interpret financial modeling, ad hoc reporting, periodic, ongoing profitability reporting, and month-end reporting and analysis
• Perform economic research and prevailing economic conditions, integrating into analysis, forecasts and models
• Determine specific drivers of business performance, analysis of revenue growth, variance, margin mix, period over period
