Job Purpose and Skills:
The Credit Analyst will work alongside loan officers performing financial analysis of current and potential borrowers, assisting as needed in the loan approval and credit documentation process, and reviewing the credit throughout the life of the loan. In addition they will help maintain the credit files and work with management to perform ongoing analysis of the Bank’s loan portfolio. Credit Analyst participates in Loan Committees as necessary, collaborates with lenders and participates in onsite visits with borrowers as appropriate to better understand the business and gain insight into the credit.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Underwriting and credit memo preparation
- Business, personal, and investment cash flow analyses
- Market, Industry, & Credit Stress Testing (including real estate analysis)
- Financial Statement analysis including financial spreading
- Financial Monitoring
- Gathering outstanding financials and maintaining credit file
- Conduct annual credit review as applicable
- Monitoring financial covenants such as debt service coverage, liquidity, net worth, indebtedness, and various financial ratios
Other Key Job Functions:
- Communicate effectively with Management, Auditors, Vendors, and other bank personnel.
- Adhere to all bank and department personnel policies and procedures
- Perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain strictest level of confidentiality
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong Work Ethic
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Focus on timely follow up
- Regular reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions to this position
