Responsibilities
- Provide billable implementation services, including planning, installation, configuration, migration, testing, skills transfer, and documentation.
- Provide billable consulting and support services, including performance analysis and tuning, capacity planning, security consulting, disaster recovery planning, system availability consulting, and operational assistance.
- Provide post-installation technical support.
- Collaborate with the manager to develop a personal education and skills plan designed to improve and expand technical skills continually.
- Complete technical certifications in the key designated product areas.
- Occasional travel will be required.
General Skills
- Ability to act as an authoritative source of technical information for customers and sales teams.
- Strong verbal communications skills, ability to interface at all levels within a client’s environment.
- Well-developed problem determination skills.
Technical Skills
- Extensive technical experience in implementing enterprise datacenter route/switch designs. (e.g., OSPF, BGP, IGRP, etc.)
- General Cisco, Cisco Meraki and Palo Alto experience preferred.
- General understanding of network security design concepts and working knowledge of firewall technologies.
- General understanding of other network design concepts (e.g., Wireless, Load Balancing, etc.)
- Demonstrated skills in documentation applications. (e.g., MS Excel, MS Visio, Adobe Acrobat Pro, etc.)
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or higher preferred.
Experience
- Total technology experience: 7-10 years required
- Engineering background: 4-7 years
