Position Summary
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for performing a range of accounting and clerical tasks related to the accounts payable function. This includes receiving, processing, and verifying invoices, and processing payments. The position requires a keen attention to detail, strong time management and communication skills. The role is based in the Company’s office in Nashville, TN USA or Calgary, AB Canada.
Responsibilities
- Accurately review, code, and process vendor invoices
- Perform monthly reconciliations
- Maintain a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
- Perform data entry associated with accounts payable
- Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies
- Address and respond to vendor inquiries
Qualifications
- High school diploma, bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an accounts payable role, oil and gas experience a plus
- Experience with robust ERP/accounting system (Company uses Enertia)
- Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Knowledge of basic accounting principles
- High degree of attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
