Truck Driver
The CDL driver safely drives a dump truck to destinations applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and of roads in the area.
General Duties/Key Responsibilities
The essential duties of the job are:
Operate a single- or tandem-axle dump truck and other vehicles requiring a CDL
Follow applicable safety rules, regulations, guidelines, policies, and site-specific safety plans
Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
Load and unload equipment from vehicles and trailers
Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on vehicle(s) to make sure they are in good working order
Keep a record of vehicle inspections daily and make sure the truck is operating safely and efficiently
Report defects, accidents, or violations
Assists crew in miscellaneous tasks as needed
Requirements
Class A CDL license is preferred; also hiring Class B
Minimum of 3 years of verifiable experience operating a vehicle requiring a CDL
Construction industry experience, heavy equipment operation and maintenance experience a plus
No recent moving or driving violations
Communicate and collaborate with other employees effectively
Maintain ethical conduct inside and outside the workplace
Manage time effectively and work independently when not being supervised
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
