Description Medical Billing Associate task list includes but is not limited to:+ Makes calls and uses various insurance provider portals to research claim information and follow-up on outstanding claims as assigned.+ Appeals rejected or denied claims for assigned payers.+ Demonstrates high quality work in A/R assignments.+ Contacts patients directly to discuss outstanding balances due and coordinating the plan to collect payments.+ Answers incoming calls routed to the Billing Office to answer patients’ questions regarding balance and insurance questions+ Collaborates with Claims Specialist and Eligibility Specialist for information patients are requesting regarding coverage.+ Collaborates with Business Office Manager regarding sending bills over 150 days to collections.+ Provides excellent customer service as well as completes any additional tasks deemed necessary.+ Assists in various department items as assigned including generating itemized statements and handling record requests on unpaid claims. Requirements + High School Diploma or GED required. Post-secondary education or prior healthcare experience strongly preferred.+ Minimum 6 months of strong customer service and phone skills with an exceptional ability to listen and communicate to others with working knowledge of quickly connecting with customers and employees.+ Minimum 6 months collections experience required.+ Minimum 6 months medical A/R experience required.+ Good writing, analytical and problem-solving skills.+ Ability to effectively communicate and prioritize duties.+ Ability to follow oral and written instructions.+ Ability to operate standard office equipment.+ Strong computer skills.+ Ability to work well whether independently or as part of a team.+ Knowledge of principles and practices of basic office management and organization.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
