22-23 VISTA Intake Process Specialist Martha O’Bryan Center (MOBC) is thrilled to recruit for the 22-23 AmeriCorps VISTA class in partnership with the Southeast Regional Office of Americorps. Since 2008, Martha O’Bryan Center has operated an AmeriCorps program, empowering members to serve alongside community residents to alleviate poverty in Nashville’s most distressed community. Martha O’Bryan Center’s AmeriCorps VISTA team will help build the organizational capacity of the Martha O’Bryan Center to develop sustainable solutions to poverty in East Nashville. The Martha O’Bryan Center is an anti-poverty non-profit organization with longstanding history and deep community roots, grounded in tradition and strengthened by innovation. Founded in 1894 when Miss O’Bryan organized the Gleaners Society at First Presbyterian Church to support impoverished North Nashville residents, Martha O’Bryan Center has operated from the heart of Cayce Place – Nashville’s most distressed community – since 1948. This is where we continue in service, partnering with Cayce Place families to open doors of hope and possibility, create a culture of attainment, and positively shape future generations. Service members help Martha O’Bryan Center serve more than 12,000 clients each year through a comprehensive continuum of services including early learning education, youth development, job placement, family resources, and social services. Member Duties : The VISTA Intake Process Specialist will serve with community-facing staff and Family Success Network leaders regarding family centered coaching. The VISTA will develop holistic intake and needs assessments for admission referrals to MOBC’s two-generational service delivery model. Key goals include refining the intake processes, assess customer satisfaction and help build an intake manual for future use. The VISTA will research all resources and services provided by MOBC and utilize that data to improve collaboration between programs. The VISTA will work closely with community -facing staff to develop informational multimedia products that summarizes MOBC’s mission and services of MOBC and the Family Success Network.
