The State Director of Operations will lead Acadian Ambulance’s growth/expansion efforts in Tennessee and the surrounding states to maximize market share. In addition, the position will work with the Operations Management teams to ensure objectives and strategic goals of Acadian’s Tennessee EMS operations are met.
Responsibilities
- Provides vision and drive, capitalizing on business development/sales experience, to grow Acadian’s footprint in the state of Tennessee by establishing and expanding partnerships with healthcare stakeholders (hospitals, health systems, nursing homes, etc.) and political / governmental leaders to secure market share and support growth initiatives
- Leads efforts to expand Acadian into appropriate markets and partnerships in the seven states contiguous to Tennessee, collaborating with company leaders to vet organic growth opportunities and potential acquisitions.
- Oversees the Tennessee Operations Management team to ensure the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel meet EMS Operation objectives in the State of Tennessee.
- Leads the region’s workforce planning efforts, to include recruitment, training, and retention initiatives.
- Engineers partnerships with college and university training programs and the State of Tennessee to assist in meeting short-term staffing needs and long-term industry stability.
Qualifications
- 3 years proven, successful business development experience
- 3 years professional experience in a hospital setting (Emergency Department, Case Management, Business Development, EMS Liaison, Other).
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, management or related field is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- National and/or State certification as an Emergency Medical Technician or Paramedic helpful, but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Sense of urgency and ability to work under pressure.
