Description Robert Half is currently working with a dynamic client looking for a Tax Accountant. The Tax Accountant will work with financial and income tax statements, making sure that they comply with tax laws by filing their federal and state tax returns. Then this may be the role for you!Major responsibilities- Confirm that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations- Coordinate outsourced tax preparation work- Maintain good industry knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, participating in professional organizations, keeping up with professional networks and reading professional publications- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits- Develop solutions for complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings- Prepare quarterly and annual tax reports, ensuring accuracy- Guide management on the impact of tax liabilities and corporate strategies or new tax laws- Assemble tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database Requirements – 2+ years of public or corporate tax- Exceptional organizational skills- CPA highly preferred- Skilled at time management- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing effectively throughout all levels of the company- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills- Bachelors or masters degree in Accounting or relevant field required- High attention to detail and possesses excellent organizational and writing skills Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
