Role Description:

Lead Platform Techno Functional Architect (PTFA), as a subject matter expert of the cloud based SAAS platform for the Human Resources Department, enables the enterprise to leverage the full set of technology capabilities of such a platform to optimize the realization of the business capabilities needed for creating a competitive edge to succeed in the digital ecosystem. PTFA has deep industry knowledge to understand the platform’s functional capabilities roadmap over several versions of the platform, experience in the technology architecture of the platform to maximize the use of its advanced technology capabilities including its data/analytics/business event services, and supports Business Technology Consulting team in rightsizing the procurement of platform functionalities to maximize the business value from the investments made on the platform. PTFA mentors the Digital Architects by sharing the knowledge and know-how related to the leveraging of the platform’s technical and functional/business capabilities to the App/Data/Analytics service delivery teams in optimizing business value from their Digital products. PTFA is responsible for conceptualizing and designing robust and scalable platform deployments that enable strategic objectives and support long-term corporate goals. This role tracks the functional and technical services of the platform and communicate implications of platform architectural decisions to appropriate stakeholders and identify opportunities for reuse. PTFA contributes to the thought leadership that defines and grows the Enterprise Architecture Body of Knowledge of the enterprise in general and the designated platform in particular.

Requirements:

  • Must have strong, well-rounded Workday experience including experience designing and architecting Workday systems.
  • Demonstrated record of successful, complex cross-system implementations.
  • Expert knowledge of business architecture skills: business case building, scenario & process modeling, strategic planning, visioning, and business metrics.
  • Expert knowledge of Enterprise Architecture frameworks, specifically TOGAF.
  • Expert knowledge of multiple solution architecture viewpoints (application design, infrastructure design, data design, integration design).
  • Expert knowledge of solutions modeling.
  • Expert presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of architecture tools and processes (reference architecture maintenance, standards maintenance, technology portfolio rationalization, RFI/RFP support, Enterprise Architecture governance, project architecture support).
  • Knowledge of business architecture skills: business case building, scenario & process modeling, strategic planning, visioning, and business metrics.
  • Mastery of development methodologies, tools and software engineering.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple projects in a changing technical environment.
  • Successful completion of an analytical aptitude exam.
  • Successful creation and implementation of n-tier architecture solutions.
