Vice President Enterprise Risk

Job Purpose:Responsible for designing and conducting risk assessments, reporting the results to internal and external constituents, and using the assessments to help the ERM Team manage and respond to enterprise risk; also responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Internal Control, Vendor Management, and Loan Review functions of the Company with a focus on helping the ERM Team manage and respond to enterprise risk.Job Responsibilities:1. Build and maintain collaborative relationships with Senior Leadership and leaders of the Lines of Business to ensure effective implementation and functioning of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) processes2. Collaborate with the Chief Risk Officer and the Company’s ERM team to promote risk awareness and help make the Company a risk-intelligent organization3. Assist the Chief Risk Officer in developing enterprise-wide policies and processes for ERM4. Serve as the Company’s subject matter expert on Risk Assessments5. Design and conduct Risk Assessments and report findings to internal and external constituents* Help business units identify risks (existing, potential, and emerging) that would impede or prevent the achievement of the Company’s strategic objectives* Help business units identify gaps in the Control environment* Perform analysis of risks and current controls, and develop enhanced controls and risk mitigation plans; communicate to constituents* Track implementation and performance of mitigation plans* Collaborate with ERM team in the creation and monitoring of KPIs and KRIs6. Facilitate and coordinate Internal Audit function with internal and external constituents7. Facilitate and coordinate Loan Review function with internal and external constituents8. Facilitate and coordinate Vendor Management function with internal and external constituents9. Maintain database for insurance policies and schedule a periodic review by qualified insurance experts to ensure appropriate coverage (competitive coverages and cost)10. Prepare or provide input in the preparation of budgets for supervised functions11. Attend all BSA training (at least annual) offered through the bank. More frequent and/or specific training may be required, depending on job responsibilities. Perform job responsibilities to ensure the bank’s compliance with BSA/AML policies and procedures, which include detecting potentially suspicious activity and reporting such activity to the BSA Officer and may include gathering and entering data into systems for monitoring and reporting.Note: Incumbent may be asked to perform other non-essential duties as assigned.Job Qualifications:Education – Bachelors Degree in Finance, Law, Accounting or BusinessExperience – Minimum of Five (5) years experience in enterprise risk management, preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Ability to tactfully and respectfully influence others, often without positional authority; Ability to maintain positive and constructive work relationships with teammates and external constituents; Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills; Ability to effectively summarize and implement risk assessment findings, managing change and suggesting and advocating for process improvement initiatives;
