RESPONSIBILITIES Kforce is working with a high infotech client that is in search of a Remote Data Scientist in Nashville, TN. Summary This company was founded in 2012 with the desire to help home health agencies identify patients on census at-risk for unplanned rehospitalization. Since then, this firm has developed products and services which help home health providers create clinical programs, manage large populations more efficiently, and drive value to strategic partnerships. As a Remote Data Scientist, you will develop machine learning models for current products including shaping training datasets, building artificial intelligence models, and communicating results. The Data Scientist also researches possible methods to improve said products and provides statistical insights with respect to products to non-technical stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities Develop predictive prototype models, tools, programs, and scripts libraries to streamline and support for machine learning and data engineering reporting efforts Generate and manage documentation to support tool understanding and maintenance of A.I. models Brief the product group on model results, tradeoff decisions, and limitations Perform guided RD to extend current product features Develop performant A.I. models Define and shape the data needed to train an A.I. model for particular use cases Assess model performance. (AUC, MSE, MAE, accuracy, etc.) Maintain a thorough understanding of Home Health data Run -what if- simulations with code REQUIREMENTS Undergraduate degree from an accredited collegeuniversity in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Bioinformatics, Physics, or related fields Substitute degree for a combination of boot campscertifications and professional experience One to three years professional experience analyzing data with code Job title does not need to be “Data Scientist” Open to related experience Demonstrated experience with a coding language such as R, Python, SAS or similar Ability willingness to learn R (we are an R shop) Demonstrated experience building predictive models with any programming language Well-rounded experience working with in-memory data Can load, filter, merge, and visualize data easily Basic knowledge of traditional statistics Confidence intervals, hypothesis tests, p values Demonstrated analytical and creative problem-solving abilities Genuine curiosity and desire to learn machine learning techniques and techniques and related computational statistical concepts through continuing education Knowledge of at least one of the following Hyperparameter tuning (CV, bootstrap, etc.) Feature selection (stepwise, best subset, etc.) Model performance (AUC, accuracy, MSE, MAE, etc.).
