Ministry Assistant

We are hiring a Part-time Ministry Assistant for a Presbyterian church in the West End area. If you have great communication and organizational skills and have previous administrative experience, we would love to consider you! 

Title: Ministry Assistant 
Type: Part-time with potential to move to full-time
Duration: Long term temp; Possible temp-to-hire opportunity 
Shift: 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. – flexible 
Pay: $15/hour
Location: Nashville , TN 

Responsibilities:

  • Create marketing strategies to reach potential new members
  • Schedule zoom meetings with potential members
  • Email church updates to current members
  • Write obituaries, hospital updates and new members greetings for church bulletin and weekly emails
  • Assist church Administrative Assistants with projects as needed
  • Staff contact for Living Water for the World, which includes updating the recipient’s spreadsheet as new information comes in, mailing plaques, and providing updates to church Minister as needed.

Education / Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate’s degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft office programs
  • Previous administrative assistant experience preferred
