Essential Functions:
- You will be independently troubleshooting issues with cell towers and fiber optic networks.
- Daily work will include checking on sites for access, alarms and other issues.
- This position is a 24/7 on call position, you must be able to respond to call outs in your area in a reasonable time.
- You will be responsible for a work vehicle as well as test equipment.
- Must be able to keep up to date with paperwork.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle
- Must be able to pass background check, drug screening, and DOT physical.
- Ability to be on-call 24/7 within a 3hr radius of downtown Nashville
- 4 years telecom and fiber experience
- Telnet, SSH, and Hyper Terminals such as PuTTY or Tera Terminal experience required
- Experience operating an OTDR, fiber splicer is preferred, but not require, must be able to learn
- Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, JDSU fiber trace, Google Earth/Maps
- Must be able to work in outdoor elements and extreme weather through all seasons
