MEDIC Transportation Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent Job Type: Full Time, Some Overtime Required
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsible for processing passenger transport instructions verbally, in text or written format or through electronic media.
Process inbound call requests for pickup.
Process phone transport instructions.
Communicate with drivers and field forces all related to requests for non-emergency medical transportation.
Also responsible for processing inbound/outbound phone calls related to member or driver questions regarding trip scheduling, trip instructions and directions.
Process and resolve complaints/issues.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Telephone assistance to drivers, callers, passengers, medical providers and Supervisors.
§ Must learn and fully understand the TennCare Non-Emergency Medical Transportation program.
§ Must become familiar with company policies and practices.
§ Complete reservations and execute trip instructions for non-emergency medical transportation.
§ Assign driver and vehicles to pick up or delivery assignments.
§ Provide passenger information related to non-emergency medical transportation benefits.
§ Other duties as requested or assigned.
