Administrative Assistant
Location: Nashville, TN (near the airport)
Hourly Rate: 23$ to $25 an hour (based on experience)
**This is a long-term, multi-year, consulting position

Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
Plans, schedules, and completes work in a variety of job assignments in carrying on required business management activities supporting the Engineering Department. Serves as a valuable resource in a key division activity; develops and implements improvements in such activities.
Serves as administrative support for the department/division; takes on administrative details not requiring the Administrative Coordinator’s immediate attention; answers correspondence and telephones independently; provides information where judgment, knowledge, and interpretation of policy and practice are required.
Operates personal computer, calculator, multi-function copier/printer, fax machine, scanner, word processor, and other computer equipment fluently.
Maintains accurate and confidential records and files in accordance with the Records Management System policies.
Assists Project Management team with variety of tasks such as; drafting of letters; creation and maintenance of spreadsheets and presentations; scanning, copying and filing of documents in filing cabinets and electronically within network and web servers as instructed; maintains shared outlook calendars for staff PTO, conference rooms. May support PM’s taking photos, logging information, or other duties on project sites as directed
Supplemental Job Functions:
Performs related work as required.
Education and Knowledge:
High school graduate, plus one to two years of education equivalent to professional certification. Knowledge of laws, ordinances, practices and procedures affecting division operations. Complete knowledge of modern office management practices and procedures.
Must maintain SIDA (Security Identification Display Area) eligibility.
Work Experience:
Proficiency typically gained through five years of increasingly responsible secretarial/administrative experience, two within the last four to include an area of specialization. Demonstrated ability to serve as confidential assistant.
Mental Skills:
Ability to make independent and sound judgments. Ability to write clear and concise letters and reports. Must be able to work efficiently under strict deadlines, with little to no supervision, with attention to detail.
Manual Skills:
Skilled in the use of office equipment, including personal computers, laptops, calculators, and multi-functional copiers/printers. Must have working knowledge of spreadsheet applications and software. Windows experience required with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word preferred.
