Mission:
Your mission as the Taziki’s Chief People Officer is to ensure that the organization can attract, develop, utilize, and retain the right talent from the unit level to the corporate level for sustainable growth. To maximize the potential of every employee, you will orchestrate relevant Human Resources initiatives including compensation, benefits, learning & development, talent management, performance management, succession planning, organizational design, DE&I, employee engagement & relations, compliance, and payroll. Success in this role will be achieved by positioning Taziki’s as an Employer of Choice while balancing compliance, engagement, and advancement to accomplish company objectives through human capital.
Responsibilities: HR, Talent Acquisition, Employee Experience
- Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision
- Function as an advisor to the Executive Team and each department head on talent acquisition, management, compliance, and performance
- Advocate for employee experience/performance as an equal objective alongside financial, operational, legal, and marketing needs
- Provide business cases with sound financial/operational data for HR initiatives and their ROI
- Establish a plan of corporate management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company
- Proactively minimize risk in people operations to protect employees and the brand
- Manage HR strategies to serve both the corporate and franchise sides of the business and work with company leaders to protect the brand from joint employer issues
- Identify talent gaps in the organization and create solutions for training/hiring to fill them
- Develop comprehensive recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs at the unit, market, and company levels
- Develop and implement total rewards programs that are competitive and cost-effective
- Facilitate Market compensation studies to inform wage ranges for all Home Office and corporate market positions
- Manage Taziki’s Compensation Guide that outlines our philosophy and approach to career planning and total rewards
- Implement/organize executive coaching and leadership training experiences as well as manager HR training at the unit and market level
- Identify and measure organizational KPIs and OKRs for People Operations
- Clarify a Taziki’s Employee Value Proposition as a core tenet of the company’s human resources strategy
- Implement a productive Mentorship program that enables growth along multiple tracks of the business
- Lead change management initiatives through to measurable success

- Business acumen in the restaurant industry with an understanding of restaurant operations and finances
- Experience in industries with a deskless workforce
- Experience with franchising systems and joint employer issues
- Exceptional written and verbal skills, with an ability to communicate with all employee levels from hourly to executive
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Highly agile with ability to adapt well to and lead change
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems (HRIS) and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
- Proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years HR leadership, with a preferred 5 years at the executive level
- MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline such as HR, Business, or Organizational Psychology
- Professional in Human Resources (PHR), Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) certification preferred
