What you will be doing:
This full-time position will report to the CEO of uBreakiFix and will lead Corporate and Franchise real estate strategy. This position will be responsible for a wide variety of matters, including but not limited to Retail Analytics, Geographical Systems (GIS), financial analysis, market and site selection, franchise market development, real estate optimization, and have a passion for solving complex challenges. Location is open to Nashville or Orlando with domestic travel as needed.
This position is team oriented and requires a candidate that can work effectively across various cross functional teams, timelines, and project requirements. The candidate will be responsible for technology strategy and execution of technology platforms to inform the strategic planning for a range of Retail-related projects and initiatives, including growth strategy, competitive analysis, market planning and strategic initiatives. They will be expected to engage directly with senior key internal and external stakeholders / franchisees. The candidate for this position will be self-motivated, detail oriented, well organized, have a learning mindset, and have analytical, financial, real estate, research and problem-solving skills to excel in a fast paced, lean, results-oriented, and collaborative environment. Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborating and meeting with cross functional internal teams from areas such as Franchise Development, Operations, Finance, Legal and Real Estate.
  • Strong communicator and relationship builder with franchisees
  • Ensure the retail store analytics tool is being fully utilized and adapted to drive the needs of the business including leveraging the tool to pull reports and generate impactful, concise presentations and deliverables
  • Creating, developing, and prioritizing corporate and franchise growth strategies, plans, and goals.
  • Applying analytical methods to quantify competitive threats and to identify opportunities to increase market share and/or identify growth opportunities.
  • Providing research, quantitative analysis, and modeling to analyze opportunities, business plan development, competition, and performance and/or evaluation of business opportunities, current or potential.
  • Supports planning and deployment of key strategies in areas such as trade area optimization, new store growth, store relocations and store concept optimization.
  • Researching and developing strategic recommendations to create value to the business
  • Conducting internal/external research on any number of retail topics, including, but not limited to, trends within Retail, locations, demographics, or workplace environments
  • Developing relationships in the industry to stay current on industry nuances and cultivates a well-known and respected presence in market planning, retail and/or geographic research.
  • The candidate may oversee several members (both internal and external) from a program management standpoint and may have direct internal employees to manage.


Here’s what you’ll bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university.
  • Previous positions in business, strategy, or real estate and at least five years of experience using GIS software, statistical models and analytical tools.
  • MBA or master’s degree is preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience working within a franchise system in a leadership capacity is required.
  • Analytic skills: Ability to think objectively and interpret meaningful themes from quantitative and qualitative data
  • Collaboration: Ability to build constructive and effective relationships with a broad and diverse group of functions
  • Influencing & negotiation: Can present ideas and directions that lead others to action
  • Presentation skills: Effective in a variety of presentation settings including one-on-one, small, and large groups, and with peers and managers.
  • Data analysis: Ability to transform and visualize data from a variety of sources
  • Financial and business acumen: Ability to evaluate financial and business indicators and translate data into actionable information to drive results; proficiency in retail math
  • Systems and tools acumen: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint is required, as well as an aptitude to learn technical applications quickly.
  • Possesses strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to travel domestically

Pay:
Starting pay for the successful applicant will depend on a variety of job-related factors, which may include education, training, experience, location, business needs, or market demands. The budgeted starting salary range for this role is $125,000 with flexibility to go up based on job-related factors + potential for bonuses.
