LTSS Workforce Development Manager

Develop and implement Workforce Development Strategies to increase the available pool of direct support professionals and improve the retention rates of provider workforce staff in the LTSS provider networks to ensure a qualified, competent, and sufficient workforce to deliver services to our members timely.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and report data about the workforce and incorporate into the Workforce Development Plan
  • Collaboratively plan workforce development initiatives todevelop a strategy that evaluates current and future healthcare trends, forecasts workforce capacity and competencies necessary to address these trends, and work collaboratively to implement these initiatives to strengthen Tennessees healthcare and LTSS workforce.
  • Oversee all aspects of the workforce development strategy including: developing, implementing, and monitoring the annual workforce development plan with established statewide goals on workforce development initiatives; leading workforce development activities.
  • Assist providers with technical assistance on: workforce development data collection and analytics; workforce development planning; talent identification and recruitment; competency based training and development of programs, systems and incentives; workforce retention and promotion strategies; and workforce culture and business model planning.
  • Identify opportunities to provide direct assistance, support, and investments and incentives to providers in order to develop the quality, competency, and sufficiency of their workforce; monitoring provider workforce development activities.
  • 70 % travel required.

Job Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration or other related fields; or equivalent work experience.

Experience:

  • 5 years Experience with workforce development or business consulting.
  • 3 years – Leadership experience required.

Skills/Certifications

  • Excellent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Decision Making and Analytical skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational and excellent leadership skills
  • Must be a team player, be organized and have the ability to handle multiple projects
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision or function in a team environment sharing responsibility, roles, and accountability
