This is a unique opportunity in a Boutique Optical Shop with great foot traffic. Great customers and a fun staff to work with. Office is supported by a number of physicians.
The primary duties of this position include but are not limited to placing orders for glasses frames and lenses, receiving orders, confirming accuracy of orders, entering invoices and managing Accounts Payable with the internal accounting software, Inventory management and backing up store Manager in order to meet our customers’ needs.
COMPENSATION: Commensurate with Experience and Meeting Job Qualifications
$1,000 Sign on Bonus
Essential job functions
Back Office and Sales Floor Support
- Open & close Retail Store as necessary
- Answer Phones
- Optical Knowledge
- Communicate with patients regarding order status, etc.
- Order and receive all glasses frames and lens
- Enter invoices and inventory into QuickBooks
- Assure accuracy of Inventory management
- Assist with set up and maintenance of display cases
- Pay all accounts payable in a timely manner (Knowledge of QuickBooks required)
- Process orders in person, by phone or email.
- Help in Dispensing Glasses
- Assistance in Lens Selection
- Accurately write and communicate to our customers
- Participate in all off-site Optical Sales shows and community fairs/presentations
Minimum requirements
- Experience providing exemplary customer service
- Pays extreme attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively, verbally, written and visually with a wide variety of people
- Demonstrates initiative, is conscientious and provides complete follow through on areas of responsibility
- Working knowledge of QuickBooks (Required)
- Accounts Payable experience (Preferred)
- Proven understanding of the importance of the responsibility of Time & Attendance
Abilities required
- Able to stand for extended periods of time
- Understands the value of great Customer Service
- Strong utilization skils of computers as it relates to accounting software and inventory management
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to engage strangers in conversation
